The Foundation was started with a $10,000 bequest from Leonie Coates, with the blessing of her surviving husband, Allan Coates. We are extremely grateful for this bequest.

Close to 900 New Zealand women are diagnosed with gynaecological cancers every year. Future generations of these women and their families will benefit from the gift of a charitable bequest. For some people, giving through their estate is the only time they will be able to give a significant gift to an organisation which may have helped them or someone they know during their lifetime.

A charitable bequest is a gift specified in your Will and gives you the opportunity to acknowledge the ongoing important and vital work of NZ Gynaecological Cancer Foundation. You can designate a certain sum of money, a particular asset or a portion of your estate. Whatever form your gift takes it produces the same result – better outcomes for New Zealand women.

Your solicitor can give you more information about bequests.
