Erica has a passion for ensuring all women are well informed and empowered to make the best decisions about their own health and well -being.

"I am very excited about joining the Foundation and being involved in informing and educating our diverse community. After years treating cancer patients and hearing their often heart wrenching stories, my goal is to see an increase in the survival of New Zealand women diagnosed with gynaecological cancers due to earlier detection and diagnosis, and where possible prevention of a cancer diagnosis in the first place. Cancer impacts people from all walks of life, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds and I have a particular passion for health equity. Unfortunately Maori and Pacific women have a higher incidence and mortality form certain gynaecological cancers and I would love to see this change in the near future."
